I went there to post a Christmas card to Asia today and was charged $10!! I asked why the postage was so expensive and the guy said it’s due to the size of my card ( but it was only 6” by 6” card). He then gave me the receipt and it shows tracking number! I felt I have been ripped off as I didn’t need to send a card with tracking. I only needed a stamp, which usually cost me only a few dollars. Needless to say, I wouldn’t be going back again!

This is actually the best PO I have found in Toowoomba. Sonia and team have always been friendly, helpful and consistent …

… and I visit the shop multiple times per week (over the last two years).

I could choose two other Post Offices closer to home but it’s worth the extra drive time to receive the exceptional level of service at Southtown.

The fact that they are open Saturday morning is a huge bonus too.

I have been using this post office and newsagent for many years now as it is where I rent a post box. I have had nothing but pleasant dealings with the owners and the staff who work there.
I was just checking the closing times to pick up a parcel and noticed the 1 star review.
I cannot imagine any circumstance where the owners would deserve the review given by the other customer and would recommend this store to anyone.

Extremely rude and very arrogant older lady with short dark hair working in this post office.
No customer service skills what so ever! Needs retraining by Australia Post as she seems to think she knows better than other post offices.

Today I went to collect a parcel right on 5 pm. The lady behind the counter noted they were closed and continued to count money. She nearly had a meltdown when I asked if there was any chance she could reach one meter behind her and collect the parcel out of the cupboard. I guess I'll go back tomorrow, 20 minutes out of my way, because she could not spare 30 seconds and one meter to get a parcel out.

I have always found these people to be extremely helpful in every way, and have now been going to them for a few years, l wouldn’t go anywhere else, I travel across town to go to them because they are always so nice, and they have the best cards.
