A rude and incompetent accountant who hang up on me when I was trying to find out how I could back claim on some missed depreciation on my rental property. I raised the same question with Chris from ATO. After speaking with him for a min or two, he become aware of my circumstance , however, he was unable to answer my question. Instead of hanging up on me like the accountant lady did, he put me on hold while he sought advice from his senior colleague. In the end, I have all my queries answered including how I can recover the missed depreciation. A very nice and helpful chap.

I think under no circumstance that the phone call should be terminated by the accountant unless the caller was using an abusive language or engaging in threatening behaviour which I did not do. There is no reason I should or I would considering I was seeking advice for free from an accountant who knows more than I do about the taxation rules.

Given the bad experience that I have with the accountant lady on the phone, it makes me wonder if the 5 stars reviews that 'her "customers" left for her are genuine or not
