It was a time when my parents and I decided to execute the Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship forms to let me represent their legal and medical interests in all situations. I was looking for a lawyer who could speak Russian or Ukraine, my parents’ native languages. This is how I found Mark Shumsky (who spoke perfect Ukrainian) at Stacks Collins Thompson in Hornsby. Legally, my case was rather straightforward. However, the prospective need for having the above-mentioned documents was not cheering on my parents. I’d like to go through all formalities in the most emotionally smooth way for them. Mark was absolutely fantastic in that respect. He comprehensively reviewed all aspects of the very critical authorisations with my parents ensuring each of them fully understood the meaning of the documents and how and under which circumstances they could be used.
