Cate was my chosen settlement agent for the purchase of my property in Metro Perth in July 2017.
Her eye for detail, customer service approach and attitude (as opposed to a lot of sales approach services) is a credit to her and her diligent staff.
I had a "lot"of questions being as this was a significant investment for someone with a sole income and I wanted to ensure compliance was covered. No one likes falling in bear traps!
Nothing was too much for Cate. She always followed up with personal phone calls if I didn't respond in a timely manner and we got the job done seamlessly.
Needless to say, but she also saved me a lot of money compared to some of the bigger agents in WA.

Would never recommend Sterling Settlements the owners were selling one of their investment properties to me as my home. The Pennys are only after your ' Pennys' pardon the punt lol! to line their pocket even if its unethical practice .

(I normally write 5 star reviews but feel you should becareful and perhaps get more quotes before choosing Sterling)

The owners Cate and Bill Penny
simply changed their mind about selling after deposit was received - and stopped settlement happening as she was handling the settlement of the sale of their own property as well as the realestate sale by Bill her husband. And it took weeks to get my deposit bank...

Sterling Settlments are the most manipulative and untrustworthy settlement agent have dealt with. And have done over 16 settlements.

They also tried to get me to use their company which they own along with their investment property (unadvisable conflict of interest my lawyer told me ) offering me a discount verbally - STERLING SETTLEMENTS ARE EXPENSIVE
I saved thousands of dollars on my settlement quote using a different settlement company.

BECAREFUL EXPENSIVE - UNTRUSTWORTHY STERLING Settlements

(and ended up spending thousands with a lawyer but decided it wasnt worth the wait going to court to fight for justice so walked away from buying from Bill and Cate Penny for doing unethical misleading practices in their realestate and settlement matters - my settlement company I used (which was thousands cheaper) was discussed and have never seen such unethical practices nor has my finance broker who gave evidence was discusted at their manipulative practice )

Am truly glad now didnt buy their home from them now as they had tenants renting and therefore settlement couldn't even have occured on the day it was ment to as their contract with tentants was fixed and a LOT longer and they manipulatively also tried to adjust or be unclear on wording so i may not have been able to move in on my settlement date. As their tentant were atill living at the house... Very sneaky.... they can smile to your face and lie behind your back.

Buyer beware there are PLENTY of great settlement companies out there saving you over 50% too.

This Experience happened Aug 2016 wasnt going to write a review but felt you and the community had a right to know PS Am sure after writing this review they will ask others to start writing them over the top good reviews.
