After extensive research for a suitable lawyer for a matter my client chose your practice based on glowing reviews. While it was easy to contact your office and your staff were polite there was no understanding of the urgency of the matter, documents took way too long to arrive and you refused to have any contact with my client until they did. You felt 15 minutes before the listed time would be enough to get/give instruction to a person with a disability but then without any notification you arrived at 11.35. This caused my client undue stress and anxiety. You arrived with an attitude of condescension, didn't make eye contact and dragged us into an interview room where your body language implied you really didn't have time for this, your tone was aggressive and you deliberately set out to provoke a response with your use of language and tone. You failed to listen to him, speaking over him in an aggressive manner and then when he got upset because you were providing him with new information he was struggling to process you showed no empathy, compassion or any understanding of
the specific needs of clients with a disability at all. Then you left. My client ceased the contract and you just left. You ran from the courthouse without providing the client with any next steps. Your behaviour was highly unethical and caused my client unnecessary trauma in a place where he was already upset and had come to you for assistance. Perhaps in future you should stick to wills and probates and not venture into the court to assist vulnerable people because you don't appear to have the right set of skills. This is not the behaviour we should expect from of a lawyer with your years of experience. It is unacceptable and abusive and leave vulnerable.people exposed to further abuse by the court system. What about their human rights? Your behaviour yesterday indicated you don't care, people are beneath you and this was all a huge waste of your time. Not good enough Mr Stevens!! You had a Duty of Care as his Legal Representative to listen to what he was saying. The system has let him down and now we add you to the growing list!
I am totally disgusted by your attitude and behaviour yesterday hence this review... I never leave reviews as a rule but this one is sadly needed. NB: if you have a disability don't touch Stevens Law!!!

Thankyou for you response to my review... you quite adequately showed all my points were indeed accurate. You came in with a preconceived idea, late... leaving no time to discuss or take directions. You failed to listen to both the client and me. You treated the client disrespectfully and now you have breached their confidentiality and privacy with your unethical behaviour. Bravo Mr Stevens! Bravo!
