Great customer service. I work for an international student company that arranges short 2 week visits for students and this requires us to buy 20-60 opal cards once a month. Many other news agencies have declined us, lying about daily limits however Summer Hill News Agency always greets us with a smiling face and the fastest service we have ever encountered. Thank you to the team for always providing us amazing service. We appreciate you!

Supposed to be a straightforward parcel pickup, especially since the tracking information indicated it had been delivered. However, my experience was far from ideal. Initially, I was informed the parcel hadn't arrived. Three days later, the update was equally disappointing: "the parcel is somewhere in the news agency but can't be found." This lack of clarity and efficiency is quite frustrating.

Outcome: I am yet to receive or be notified what has happened with my parcel. Two days remain until it’s returned back to Amazon.

I went in to pick up a parcel. Super fast. No issues. He opened up at 7:30. This was best secure fastest shipping option for me. Very happy. Other times I have used the shop I also was very impressed.

They NEVER pick up the store phone!!! Always rings out to the automated voicemail. Very frustrating when you work full time and want to ensure your parcel isn't returned to sender before you're able to pick it up as they only give you 5 days!!!!

Conveniently located, decent range of magazines and renovations have certainly improved the appearance.

My main reason for visiting is to pick up items that should have been delivered to my home address however due to laziness of courier service (CouriersPlease) get rerouted to this newsagency. Unfortunately newsagency staff are typically indifferent and sometimes rude to you if all you are doing is picking up a package; for e.g. with my last visit I had to wait at the counter for two minutes whilst the attendant finished a personal phone call before being attended to.

I realise that parcel pick up is probably the bane of their existence, however I'm also not thrilled to be there as the parcels should be delivered to my home address, and if they didn't want to offer the service, no one is forcing them to!

In these days where it's hard to find a good selection of magazines and with newsagents shrinking, this is one of the last great ones left. I travel several suburbs to Summer Hill village, always discover a good read and my favorite magazines are always in stock. There's also great coffee shops nearby and the best supermarket in the inner west. No wonder they're busy.
