My husband and I visited this surgery for the first time this morning as we are new to the area. Surgery was very clean. We were seen on time by Dr. Al-Bayati who was extremely professional, courteous and very friendly. The receptionist was lovely. Extremely happy to find such a fabulous surgery so close to home. We would highly recommend Sussex Doctors for all your medical needs.

I was holidaying in Sussex Inlet and required sutures to be removed. I visited Sussex Doctors late one afternoon, they were extremely helpful and were able to attend to me early the next day. The service was very friendly and staff lovely to deal with. A very happy experience for me.

I’ve been here a few times for myself and children. One doctor I saw was lovely, the nurse is lovely, the waiting area is clean and big. This is why I gave 2 star instead of 1. The reason I have given a low rating is because the last time I went and saw a different doctor k had an unpleasant experience. I went in after researching the condition I needed help with. When I told the doctor what I thought it was he didn’t look it up to confirm or deny. He said “so you’ve self diagnosed”, in a condescending way, asked a couple of questions, then gave a script for an antibiotic at my request, without looking up any information on the condition. I felt extremely dismissed and not cared for. I got to the car after paying $60 or whatever it was, to find I wasn’t given the right script for the condition so I went back in and asked if I could have it changed. I was given 1/12th of the amount I needed and he said come back in a week to get more which would be another $60. I ended up booking at another doctor in town and she straight away looked up the condition I mentioned and confirmed it was that and gave me the correct script and the correct amount of repeats, which was bulk billed. I will bring my children in to see the amazing nurse but I will no longer attend for myself.
