The room was clean and newly renovated, staff were good, amenities were fine.
We stayed in room 1 and there seemed to be a noisy cool room compressor running all night which made sleeping very difficult, it was a shame as we were the only people staying in the hotel that night, I wished I’d noticed the noise when we arrived as I would have requested a quieter room

Almost forgot to do this review!

Came from Sydney with a big group from work when we were all out of town. Was a long day with lots we had to do. When we arrived seemed really quiet and didn’t know what to expect.

Service

24 people turned up all at once and one lone, friendly, smiling and polite lady with dark hair marched to the kitchen and made 24 delicious, big, fresh, hot, tasty and well priced meals plus starters on top, which pleased everyone and some how made all meals come out within about 35 minutes of us first ordering. I was worried some of us would have a long wait but it all arrived in no time.

Lamb Shanks
I had the lamb shank which was roasting hot, tangy and flavoursome, fall apart tender, BIG, covered in delicious sauce and with veges - it felt like I’d eaten healthy home cooked too. Jackpot.

Schnitty
I also had half a schnit-parmy someone abandoned because they’d had too many beers. Batter was crisp, was covered in parmy, chicken was thick as and tender. Chips were spot on crunchy and soft inside. Had a salad too, to trick my tongue into thinking I was sticking to my diet.

Pizza
ALSO had two slices of pizza. Not sure what but was like supreme with salami. Base was thin and rigid how it should be, heaps of topping and if perfect ratios and packed with flavour and very good size because pi x radius squared makes a massive difference in how much you actually get.

Prices were very fair and a deal for what you get especially given the inflation situation we have at the moment.

Drinks
Beers were cold and crisp and the house reds were high tide like a decent pour you get at the RSL.

Our main hostess let us stay well into the night even though it was only our group there and never hinted at asking us to leave and was nothing but accomodating snd talkative.

Smoking
You can also smoke out the back. I’m not a fan but all good pubs need a good smoking area and it’s always where the party ends up.

Sorry to wax lyrical but these guys really try and bloody well pull it off too!

Rooms

Can’t say as we didn’t stay here but the pub and toilets were clean and maintained and I bet the rooms are too!

Location

This pub is in an absolutely picturesque part of Australia. Worth stopping in if you are a local, or passing through or on a holiday.

Overall

This place is a gem and so is Wang.

Staff were excellent but unorganised venue the room they gave me was slept in and dirty barmaid did her best under circumstances and found me a new room but booked a queen got a single lucky I went alone. 1 staff for bar food and accommodation and bottleshop needs more on a Saturday

Great pub off the beaten track and is dog friendly accommodation! Staff was super accommodating to our big crazy group and had the best time at our Christmas in July catch up weekend!!!

Never will I stay here again.
Staff were rude to me, after voicing concerns of noise and people slamming doors.
They had workers in renovating the hotel that were rude and inconsiderate of guests peace and privacy.
The room was dirty and not vacuumed.
The shared bathroom sink was disgusting and the toilet look like it had not been cleaned or at least wiped down for a number of days.
I left 2 days remaining on my stay disrupting my plans as the noise and disturbance and total lack of respect was appalling from staff that arrived to work at 9:00am slamming doors and then workers causing more constant disturbance all day.
I did not ask for a reimbursement for the 2 days and nights I did not use as I would not lower my standards and self worth to the levels the staff hotel patrons and business operate at. I was laughed at on both the occasions on arrival by the hotel patrons when entering the establishment to check in.
This place will never see a dollar of mine again and I recommended travellers or potential guests use somewhere other than here. Thank God for google reviews, as voicing concerns about poorly run business that aren’t of the ethical standards can be heard and exposed.
