Came here to celebrate my partner’s birthday. The steak was cooked to perfection, but price-wise, I probably wouldn’t return if it weren’t for my partner’s Amex offer.

The service was great, though—they surprised my partner with a “happy birthday” chocolate lettering on our dessert cake and spark candle, which was a nice touch. The lady at the front was also very kind and helped us take a photo. Overall, it was a good experience, but the food itself wasn’t particularly memorable.

Very good restaurant.
Friendly and polite staff.
We went on a group, food served at the same time.
Well presented, tasty, meats were tender.
Good selection of wines, beers and other drinks.
It is expensive, good quality, good value.
The toilets are quite far, shared with the other restaurant.

Long wait for low quality steak, ranging from MB2+ to MB4+, price does not match expectations.

Great spot for weekend party-goers / tipsy-patrons with little to no expectation in quality of food.

Not recommended for foodies.

P.S. The dessert included in the kids meal never arrived.

I visited The Meat & Wine Co at Barangaroo for a work function, where we had the $98 set menu. For the price, I think it’s reasonable, considering the prime Barangaroo location and the Christmas rush.

The garlic bread starter was excellent—soft, wholesome, and very garlicky in a good way. The pork belly entrée was also very nice, while my colleague’s calamari looked decent, albeit less substantial than the pork belly, which was to be expected.

For the main course, I opted for the 300g New York steak. While it was enjoyable, it felt a bit tough—I suspect the 200g cut might have been more tender. Some colleagues chose the barramundi but mentioned that it was overcooked. The onion ring side was also highly recommended.

For dessert, both the crème brûlée and sticky date pudding were well executed. The sticky date pudding seemed to be the favourite, likely due to the accompanying ice cream.

The service was great overall. While it might not stand out as extraordinary, it’s a solid choice for a work Christmas function.

I went in with my partner for our anniversary. The atmosphere is very cozy and sophisticated. We ordered express lunch menu and everything was very delicious (we were so amazed with the portion size for the price). I want to thank Lily for her amazing service and also for the surprise. 100/10 recommended
