The Pemberton Hotel seems to be one of the few places in town that tries to cater to a variety of needs, but the overall experience was mixed. The food quality was average at best, and the pricing didn’t quite match. The garden salad, priced at $19, felt uninspired and overpriced, while the baked salmon stood out as a highlight of the meal. The pizza, at $35, was the most expensive I’ve come across in WA, yet the quality was comparable to a Domino’s offering. Drinks and beer were standard fare, nothing remarkable. That said, the service was efficient, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, which helped elevate the experience.

Great spot. Rooms clean and tidy. Great pub meal in evening. Lovely atmosphere with locals all congregating here. Will come again.

We called ahead to find out if the kitchen was open ā€œyes, open from 11:30ā€.
We arrive, the bar is not open, no signage to say it’s a later start to the times on the door. Staff and other hopeful guests also try the door multiple times, everyone is confused…

The cafe is open, they are doing food, you could argue the 11:30 timing is correct, however most (including myself) are not convinced. The bar is not open, we were quickly told when we went through the internal door ā€œthe bar is closed, that’s why the door is closedā€, sure, but no signage, and the door wasn’t locked, so not really…

Anywho, we wanted to try out the venue, so many have told me the food is good here.

We order the Parmigiana (x people), when ordering I requested mash instead of chips (as per the menu), ā€œoh no sorry, mash is only for dinner serviceā€, right, sure.
Food comes out, very speedy, which was good. Parmigiana doesn’t have ham…it’s not a Parma. Simple. Very average chips. No sauce offered either, gravy (small vessel) is $4.67 (? Can’t recall the exact cents), which I feel is a bit much for what the product is. Am I wrong?!

Please update your menu, your opening times, and your staff. It’s embarrassing.

What a great experience! The person at reception was great, which is an important first impression. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant was perfect for me as I had just finished a long day cycling on the Munda Biddi trail. It was also very central, and a laundromat was only 50 metres away. I also had breakfast there the next morning. I loved it here!

Rooms are adequate for the area, and was an overnight stay for my group riding weekender. Hotel restaurant was very poor on the night of our stay. Food was very hit and miss for our group of 8. Example, 2 of us ordered chicken Caesar salad, a surprisingly small serve for a pub meal. Both were served without the main item, chicken. It was taken away, and the same salad served up again with a few bits of chicken added. Would have expected this to be made again as per the menu description. Not ideal, and didn’t want to make a fuss. The waitress asked for feedback on the salad. As she had asked, I gave my honest opinion, which was not received well. In defence mode, I was told I could talk to the manager if I was not happy. If people don’t want to hear honest feedback, don’t ask for it. Disappointed nothing was done to rectify their oversight, if they had no more lettuce available, perhaps offer an alternative. Others in our party had better meals, like the Moroccan lamb chops and vegetables, huge serve for an extra $5 instead of the salad. Another ordered roast of the day, also lamb. Sadly lamb is not for me. If there is a next time, might be worth seeing what other patrons order and receive before placing my order.
On a positive note, the flat white coffee was great, thank you.

We have been coming here for years and enjoy coming to the Pemby Pub, unfortunately, whoever has bought this beautiful pub has taken inflation by the balls and ran with it! Prices for meals were ridiculously expensive! $17 for wedges and $41+ for garlic prawns!! Everything has gone up by an average of $8 for each meal!? Absolute joke! Happy to spend money here for a family of four, but these prices are too high for average pub food! We ended up walking out and went to Karri Valley Restaurant for the same price, a view and a 5 star restaurant.

Such a shame as we have had amazing memories at the Pemberton Pub, had our wedding reception at Charlie’s. Hopefully, the owners see the recent reviews and adjust their menu to fair prices, we will be back then.

Not normally one to leave a review. However, it is outrageous to be charged $33 for a half sized parmi with under cooked chips. (Salad not included, that would’ve been extra $5 at the counter.)
Highly recommend looking at other options.

The hotel is quiet and peaceful and is located at the centre of Pemberton. There is a restaurant and bar within the hotel premises. We had dinner in a hotel. The food was so-so. The rooms looked promising; however, the bed and mattress were uncomfortable. It was challenging to have a sound sleep.
