I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the consultation I received from Tull Rinkey Attorneys and Counselors, specifically with Mr. Jared Cook, regarding my legal matter.

On January 27, 2025, I scheduled a consultation and paid a $150 service fee. Unfortunately, during the first five minutes of the consultation, I had to pause and question Mr. Cook as to why he had not reviewed the documents I sent in advance. The questions he asked were irrelevant and did not reflect the information I provided. Mr. Cook responded that reviewing the documents would require an additional charge of $200, bringing the total cost to $350. I agreed to this additional fee, hoping for professional and experienced legal advice.

I rescheduled the consultation to January 31, 2025, to allow Mr. Cook more time to review the materials I had submitted. I provided 46 pages of facts and evidence, including video and audio recordings. However, despite the time and effort I put into preparing these materials, Mr. Cook did not provide a clear assessment of my case. He avoided offering a definitive answer on whether I had a case and instead responded with vague and confusing statements. The documents I submitted were not reviewed, and the video and audio recordings were not even listened to.

Instead, I was referred to a human rights website without receiving any concrete advice or understanding of the strength of my case. Additionally, Mr. Cook mentioned a retainer fee of $6,000 if I wished to proceed, even though no clear opinion was provided on whether I had a valid case in the first place.

I am deeply disappointed in the service I received. It feels as though the firm is preying on individuals' hardships by charging for consultations without providing meaningful or helpful advice. I expected professionalism and clarity, but I instead encountered misleading practices and a lack of transparency.

I trust this matter will be addressed accordingly.

I called to make an appointment just for a consultation. I paid the $150 for the consultation, then I asked for a refund because I no longer needed a lawyer or their services. I was told that it wouldn’t be a problem, mind you this was all in 11/2024! It’s January 2025, I’ve called multiple times and I’m always told that my refund is coming or call back in a week. It’s one thing to not allow refunds, but it’s another to say you will then refuse to hold your end. So far my experience with them has been poor, and if I do ever need a lawyer, this will not be the firm I call. It’s been over a month and I’m still waiting and calling for the refund that they said their finance department “will/would take care of”. The only movement I’ve seen is from their lips and not their feet.

They will give you a discount rate for consultation. I like that they are located at Lexington and the # was day of birth for my kids. Upon making the appointment I was able to make progress with the meetings. I felt this lawyer had integrity and the firm I felt safe with as most of them are former service men and woman. The other firms I interviewed were not ethical and charged with criminal behaviors. I feel you can trust this firm to work for your best interests. I will try to add photos ASAP. Thanks.
