This was a really great place to stay. The rooms were well equipped with everything you need, clean, tidy, and super comfortable! Great location and an absolutely beautiful town. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We can not recommend this place enough. The price was really great too!

First of all thank you for a wonderful night's stay! Michael, Barbara and the fiercely brave Angus absolutely made our trip! It felt like a home away from home. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean. It was also lovely to have access to the BBQ to make some dinner, instead of having to worry about finding a place to eat after a day of driving and sight-seeing. To top it all off, the view is incredible, and we saw a number of great birds in the area.

We encountered the rudest man ever in the owner of this motel. We booked through a pet friendly website to break up our trip to Melbourne from Sydney. We were travelling with our two very dogs. Checked again before booking online that pets were allowed, with "pets welcome - free" on the website. We received a text message from the owner when we were about an hour away saying that they were closing up (an hour earlier than available check-in listed) but the room was ready and we could enter the unlocked room with instructions as to parking, key etc. This was no bother to us and has happened before. About an hour after our arrival the (female) owner dropped by to advise us about extra blankets, saw the dogs, said nothing other than she had dogs herself. We thanked her and wished her a good evening. The room was clean but there was a very hard and uncomfortable bed, no water pressure in the shower and walls were thin. Regardless, very suitable for our purposes to just break up our long drive. Next morning, my husband took the dogs out for a quick walk/ wee and was accosted by a man shouting if had he just come out of the room with dogs, and accusing us of sneaking them in when no-one was around. We have travelled extensively with dogs over the years, and would never consider doing this. On occasion when we have been unable to secure dog- friendly accommodation for just one night, our dogs have just slept in the car. Had the woman told us this when she visited the room that's would we would have done (although we wouldn't have been very happy about it, having booked and paid for a pet-friendly room.)|He swore at my husband and shouted at him, whereupon my husband politely explained to him that there must be a misunderstanding as his wife (me) wouldn't have booked the room if it wasn't dog friendly. His response was to shout "Bull****!" to my husband, who further explained that his wife had visited us in the room the night before and had seen the dogs.l To which he shouted "Bull****!" again (limited vocabulary). My husband again calmly said that there must be some mistake and he would come to the office and discuss what had happened to which he further shouted "Don't bother, it's too late now!" Then proceeded to shout to his wife asking her if she had seen the dogs in the room to which she answered in the affirmative, but saying it was too late to say anything about it at this time. All of this took place in front of the other rooms, providing quite an embarrassment for us. We put the dogs in the car and packed up to leave as quickly as possible. The wife, who obviously has better manners than the husband came to apologise to us for not saying anything the night before, and stated that they used to be pet friendly but had changed their mind, but it did keep coming up and it was a "google" problem, whatever that means. Surely, incorrect booking advice to guests is the owners' responsibility, not "google's". There is a way to interact with guests showing basic manners and professionalism, which the owner of this hotel obviously has no grasp of. We usually stop in Narooma but were unable to secure a dog-friendly booking so we chose this place instead as it was nearby. NEVER again! Avoid this place and stay in Narooma instead - it is much more civilised. The Tuross head beach is beautiful but drive there from somewhere else.

Stayed one night at Tuross Motel, very comfortable and clean. Bed comfortable, shower was great, room was equipped with mini fridge, iron & ironing board, table and chairs. Kettle & toaster. Friendly staff and was offered fresh milk for coffee. Great price.

The pictures don't do this motel justice. It has been renovated and is a very clean and friendly place to spend any length of time. I have stayed here on multiple occasions, and the owners are a true blue Aussie couple who really care about their customers. Good on you, Barbara and Michael, I just love coming back here.

I enjoyed my two-night stay in this compact but well-arranged and attractive space. Loved the doona cover with Australian birds and flowers, and the beautiful framed photograph of galahs on the wall (so much better than the "art" in most motels). The bed itself was comfy, there was good bench and storage space, easy chairs and fold-up table, bedside lamps were cool, there was a microwave and fridge with complimentary fresh milk, and the shower had strong water pressure. There wasn't any bench space in the bathroom, however there was adjustable shelving above the sink. Quality toilet paper - yay! A recycling bin would've been a useful addition. The motel has a pretty garden and just outside the unit there was a table and chairs to enjoy the outlook, including the sea in the distance. Also extra tables and chairs in the garden. The sliding glass door and floor length window would benefit from solar shades so that in the day, one can see out but no one can see in. At the moment, it's a bit non-private to have the blind open as people can look straight into the bedroom/living room. Not that there's people going by too often! The motel is well located not far from the lakeside eateries and a short drive or perhaps 15 minute walk to one of the beaches. Tuross is so scenic that most places you walk will be worth looking at! The owners were friendly but not obtrusive. Good value and recommended.
