i had an issue and was recommended these guys who told me to come in for a consult.

Unfortunately they did not specialise in the right area for my problem. So the 30 minute trip to and from was totally wasted. Could have easily been avoided with some better communication/organization on their behalf. The lawyer I spoke to for 3 minutes was as helpful as she could be and very nice, but ultimately, 1/5 experience for wasting my time, which was once again, completely avoidable.

I'm very confused by these bad reviews so I feel obligated to share my experience. First I want to say thank you to all these smart and caring women working there. My experience so far has nothing less then highly professional. They all know my name which makes me feel like they geniuenly care. My first call was promptly answered and as they heard about my urgent matter they gave me a appointment the next day. Family matters are very stressful since they involve your most loved once but having Georgia, Danielle and Sarah supporting me gives me peace of mind. They put in so much time and effort and communicate throughout the process which is sadly not the norm. Thank you again

If you have a referral from VLegal Aid that names VM Family Lawyers, burn it. Being on legal aid means they (VM) don't respond to phone calls, emails etc then gaslight and blame you, They go out of their way to let you know they're supporting the wishes of the other side and you're just a povo legal aid client who doesn't deserve their elite service (tho you won't know if their service is elite because, you're not getting ANY service, much less the service reserved for $60K in the trust account clients). Get a decent lawyer, good luck in Melbournes family law scene, but give these guys a big swerve! They're rubbish!

Very poor legal service, charge for when you call them and the lawyer is not available to take your call, don't return calls for weeks, rude, inefficient. Absolutely do not recommend.
