You need a permit to get here unless you go on an organised tour. It's certainly worth going to, especially with the added stops that the tour company is permitted to visit.

This was a very informative, free entry, cultural centre. I liked the stories and information, helped me understand the culture a lot. The commentary did not sound accusatory, and I felt that they welcomed us to their backyard and felt humbled that they share their cultural heritage with us.

The gift shop at the end is really great! Something for all budgets. I wish I could afford the high end stuff.

Suitable for wheelchairs and prams with easy access.

A nice place to stop off and take a brief look at the anthropological history of the land, with exhibits that would be nice for children. There is a cafe and a gift shop on site offering snacks drinks and souvenirs.

Lovely, well-designed, and presented cultural history center of the early Kakadu people and communities. Focus is on the last 200 years or so. Wonderful gift shop with lots of aboriginal art. Definitely worth the stop.

Great, informative centre. Shady spots outside to sit.

Free entry.
Visit the cinema - signage is poor pointing to it but fascinating to spend time. The gift shop is also great and contains a great selection of books, souvenirs and artwork by local artists. Support local community and buy here rather than in Darwin.

The displays themselves are spectacular and informative.

Only gripes, no fresh drinking water to refill from and the entrance can get very crowded when large groups arrive. But still best visitor centre in Kakadu (IMO)

Absolutely incredible cultural centre. So many stories and information. Much more than I thought would be there. The gift shop is excellent too with options for all budgets - I found myself wishing I had a bigger budget for some of the original artworks, and a bigger house to hang them in. A must visit.
