Never have I experienced such a terrible service. Wilson law continually made errors during the very basic process of purchasing a home. They avoided my requests throughout, offered compensation over the phone that then differed in writing, forgot to inform solicitors of key information, missed advising of stamp duty, the list goes on. I was also then informed I should be thankful that they completed my settlement as it fell on a public holiday. Incredibly disappointing and shocking with no apology or ownership for there actions. A formal complaint regarding there service and lack of diligence has been lodged with the LSC.

Have used these Lawyer a few times for purchases, settlements, wills etc. I put a contract on a new property in December 2020 but the contract fell over due to the bank taking too long.
I was advised by a friend of a conveyancing company in the city which I decided to try as I always found Wilson Lawyers expensive.
I bought a new property in march using the new place and the bill was $850.
To my surprise I then received a bill from Wilson Lawyers for $1551 for the property I didn't even end up buying. I expected a bill but this shows you the crazy difference in price. Shop around, don't pay too much.

I found everyone to be friendly, professional and at all times kept me informed of every piont in the winding up of her estate. Maybe due to the fact of covid, but went through the purchase of a house and just had paper work emailed and delivered to me with what i felt no explanation so had to have a meeting and multiple phone calls to have explained what these cost are and then what the next amount of cost after that coverd and so on.
This is just my opinion and might be different with different circumstances.

They did get the job done in a timely manor but i feel they were quite superfluous with what they decided to do search wise and quite convoluted with how the process went. Seemed like they frivolously added on searches which i did not know about and should've had the choice and explanation on pros and cons of doing or not doing said searches.

I'm afraid I didn't have a pleasant experience with them, but note this is a subjective opinion. Lawyers may see it from a different perspective, but as a consumer....
But I can objectively say that other people have also had negative experiences.

I would not recommend them. Expensive, over charge and subsequently found lawyers that do the same work for considerably less with better service. My opinion only.
