Khoa is proving to be unprofessional and in breach of his ethical responsibilities as a lawyer and professional conduct rules.
Despite being paid in full, he is failing to deliver on his responsibilities, resulting in significant delays with the divorce settlements.
Court has approved the settlements in March this year.
Key issues:
Unresponsive- his lack of communication despite numerous attempts to contact him via email and phone. Incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
Failure to act: did not coordinate with opposing counsel to book settlement date or provide updates why settlement cannot proceed. Initially booked for April and rescheduled multiple times since and cancelled due to inaction.
Negligence: not only for delaying settlement but also causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience. His unprofessional behavior has been a major hindrance to finalize settlement.
Rude behavior: he was rude and yelled over the phone when he was confronted directly regarding the delays. This unprofessional conduct added to the already stressful situation and was entirely unacceptable.
I strongly Advised against using this lawyer for any legal matters. His lack of responsiveness and failure to fulfill his professional obligations is unacceptable.
I will be checking with the opposing counsel regarding the intentions to lodge a formal complaint with the Victorian Legal Services Commissioner to address these issues more formally.
