We had two great Burgers for lunch today.
The service was fantastic and so fresh. Liz's chicken had to be freshly made which took a little longer however so worth it.
If you are driving through and feel a bit hungry, do yourself a favour and drop in you won't be disappointed.
Seats out front with a bowl of water for out little furry friends.

We decided to buy lunch last week and we weren't dissappointed.
I had the Chicken Schnitzel Burger and it was delicious and so big, I had to take out half of the Schnitzel to eat it as it's a full Chicken Schnitzel they give you, which was fine and ate it after i had finished the burger.😋
Hubby had the Bush Burger and it was big and delicious as well.
Can recommend the Milkshakes and they are done in the metal containers which I love, so they bring you a milkshake glass and the metal container as well so there is plenty of milkshake.
Will differently go back if we are in the area travelling again.

Unfortunately the coffee is awful here.
I’ve tried it several times while staying in town and out of 5 different occasions I’ve had about 1 decent coffee, still wouldn’t say it’s worth the amount of $6.50 for a small.
The coffee is watery/ milky and doesn’t taste like coffee and often the milk is not frothed properly.
I don’t think anyone has any actual Barista training who works there. It would be a great investment for the business to get a better set up all together on the coffee front with some better training, a machine and quality coffee.

Country style cafe with an awesome range of food, including a hearty roast for Sunday lunch. We tried the burgers and dogs, just so good!! Lovely staff and a great place to sit, chat and relax. Well done team Wombat!

The pie i got was a second to none. Home made and delicious. Got a iced coffee, wasn't good at all. No flavour at all. Bring the drinks up to the pie standard and you'll thrive

In a beautiful village on the Western Downs of Queensland you will find Wombat's Cafe Grill.
For 3 years now this place has been home for me and during this time I've seen Wombat's work extraordinarily hard on their way to build a fantastic meeting point for Jandowae with excellent food and coffee.
All at the same time creating jobs for locals who in turn spend money in Jandowae.
Social media is an amazing creation but at the same time can be a weapon of mass destruction.
Unfortunately, negative people seem to want to tarnish businesses that they themselves know nothing about.
Here's the tip.
Step out from behind anonymity and stand behind your name.
Better still, introduce yourself to the owner of the businesses that you are damaging because of your opinion.
I guarantee you that the owner will listen to you and make changes if your concerns are valid.
So instead of damaging businesses with your poisonous comments please help them to get better through communication.

If this offends you, come and talk to me about microeconomics in communities. I'm easy to find.

Stopped at the Wombat Cafe and got the Wombat Brekky Wrap, it was amazing. Huge serving for good money, and you are not left disappointed at all. Very good flavour and the mince patty with the onion 🤌 beautiful. Very homey feel with at least two fish tanks that I could see. Will be back again.

Chicken was delicious, chips nice, but coffee was so weak I could only taste the chocolate on top, hope this review helps you to correct this. I was told by a local they never buy coffee there for this very reason. Staff friendly and helpful.
