Recently there is a new fella working in this pub. And I have to say. Other than the local woman that is usually working there(I haven't seen her for a while?) He is the shining light for this establishment. He greets you with a smile his customer service skills are impeccable. He makes everyone who walks through the door feel welcome. I hope he stays around for a while absolute legend.

Went for lunch and dinner while staying in town. The bar staff were really friendly. The food was amazing for the price. French Chef was welcoming and friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Went for a meal ordered Fish and chips had hardly any salad on the plate the fish was dry overcooked. Wasn't great choice other person ordered Chicken was burnt and dry overcooked too again not much salad, how can you burn a patty? Not like the meals used to be so dissatisfied with the quality. New owner needs to get a cook like they used to cook the meals definitely not like a pub meal.

Rang 13/2/2022 looking for 2 motel style rooms, very friendly girl answered the phone and yes 2 are available, also told me their hours for the pub and kitchen. Arrived a couple of hours later and walked to be greeted by the same friendly girl, sorted our rooms out and went back for a drink and ordered tea from a older lady who was the cook also very friendly, the meals arrived and certainly no complaints from either of us. The whole place was clean and tidy, the rooms although old were spotless with a very comfortable bed and good hot shower.
